📈 Performance by Opponent Level, 48-hour game results, a redesigned Events page, and more
See how you play against every level of opponent, settle game results with confidence, and find your next event faster. Here is everything new since our last update.
New
- Performance by Opponent Level. A new section on every player profile, just under Performance Stats. It groups your matches by the rating of the players you faced and shows your win rate and average score margin against each range, with plain-English highlights like your best range and your toughest. Included with VAIR+, like Performance Stats. Tap the header to open it.
- A redesigned Events page. Browse events in rows by category, with VAIR events and partner listings clearly marked. "Near me" finds events around you, your filters are remembered, and the whole page is available in all 14 languages.
- Events at the right distance. The page picks the closest distance that has enough upcoming events for you, from 25 miles out to anywhere, and "Show all" lists exactly what the row showed, and more. Pick a distance yourself and it stays as you change categories and filters.
- List your own event, one step at a time. A new step-by-step form walks you through creating an event and lets you review everything before it is sent.
- Game results settle after 48 hours. For the first 48 hours after a game is submitted, any player in it can reject or correct the result. After that the result is locked. If something is still wrong, use "Report a problem" and our team will review it while the game stays rated.
- A redesigned ratings card. Your ratings are grouped into VAIRified (Overall, Gender, Mixed, Singles) and Recreational (Recreational Doubles and Recreational Singles), each on one clean line with its full name. Recreational Singles now has its own rating, and VAIRified players carry a new badge next to their name on their profile and in search.
- Your rating by age group. Pick an age group under your ratings card to see your rating in that bracket. If you haven't played in it yet, you'll see where you'd start.
- Filter your matches by rating. Show only the matches that count toward a particular rating. Your rating chart follows the same filter.
- Rating changes from late-entered games, rolling out shortly. When a game entered a couple of days late changes your rating, a card on your dashboard will show the game, the scores, and your rating before and after.
- English (India), and sign-up from India. India is available at signup with all its states and union territories, and English (India) joins the language list.
Improved
- VAIR Vision explains itself. The upload step now says what VAIR Vision does, how it works, what it costs, and that it never changes your VAIR rating.
- Clearer rankings in VAIR Vision reports. Players are ranked on the exact figures shown to two decimals, and a short note explains in plain words what each figure and the "=" mark mean.
- Fix a score, with a clear limit. Whoever submitted a game can correct the score up to five times in its first 48 hours, and the edit screen shows how many changes are left.
- Steadier ratings. Fixing a score after the 48-hour lock no longer re-calculates everyone's later games. The change applies from that point on.
- Games can be submitted up to 14 days after they were played (it was 90). This applies to the app, CSV imports and partner apps alike, and the date picker stops at 14 days.
- Stats that read at a glance. Every group on the player dashboard now reads the same way: good on the left, bad in the middle, totals on the right. Averages run from points won, to win %, to points lost.
- Rating events are run by certified VAIR Pros. Every rating you get at an event now comes from a qualified rater in that sport.
- Events page location. If your browser's location is off, the page tells you, uses the location saved on your profile (or shows events everywhere), and one tap turns location on.
- "Playing now" is always current. Events listed without an end date count as finished 24 hours after they start, and "VAIR events" lists only VAIR events.
- Deals page. The note on link deals now says plainly that your VAIR+ discount is already applied to your shopping cart, in all 14 languages.
- A cleaner look. Boxes, chips and labels across the app have squarer corners.
- Rating details that tell the whole story. Rating charts show gaps between games at their real length, each game in a multi-game match shows how that game moved your rating, and a small star explains a rating that was set before a match. Switch on Career Highs to see each rating at its best.
- A fairer starting point. If you're rated in a new sport before giving yourself a rating there, you start at 3.25.
- Search by any rating. Player search can filter by all six ratings, and "Wheelchair Only" shows wheelchair players only.
- Quicker, friendlier profiles. Profiles show a loading preview while your stats load, your ratings card is centred on your phone, and the match filters fit on one row. Copying a member ID now confirms it was copied.
- One simple VAIR Pro charge. Checkout shows a single $199 line for the VAIR Certified Pro Rater Course, and Settings → Billing shows the $149 a year you renew at. If you already have VAIR+ by card, checkout sends you to your billing page instead of selling you a second subscription.
- Deleting your account stops all renewals. Time you've already paid for runs to the end of its period, and if you restore your account within 30 days your renewals come back on.
- RallyBall, everywhere. Skyball is now RallyBall across the app and in every language. Your ratings, match history and leaderboard position are unchanged, and your old links keep working.
- Small touches. The language menu is in alphabetical order, the "other platforms" step says it's optional, and the AI credits note on the pricing page says what they are for.
